MAMMA MIA! Broadway star Judy McLane will produce and co-host "Broadway Unleashed" to benefit Sean Casey Animal Rescue along with a cast of Broadway favorites on Monday, May 17, 2010 at 7:00p at Trattoria Dopo Teatro (125 West 44 Street).
McLane's MAMMA MIA! "Dynamo" co-star Gina Ferrall will co-host the evening which will also feature a performance by co-star Beth Leavel and performances from Broadway actors Everett Bradley, Robert Creighton, Malcolm Gets, Darius de Haas, Dale Hensley, Dee Hoty, Norm Lewis, Rosemary Loar, Olga Merediz and Howard McGillin, who will come together for the special benefit featuring musical direction by David Holcenberg.
Tony Award® winner Bernadette Peters will serve as a special guest speaker and Broadway legend Chita Rivera will be among guests having dinner with VIP ticket holders.
Judy McLane, spokesperson for Sean Casey Animal Rescue, and the evening's organizer said "Sean Casey is an awe-inspiring not-for-profit shelter that rescues and finds homes for dogs, cats and small animals, but also exotics and special medical cases across the country. It's a perfect fit - Broadway performers raising their voices to be the voice of animals in need."
Proceeds from the evening will benefit Sean Casey Animal Rescue, which aims to help animals achieve a higher quality of life by taking in rescued or unwanted animals from private owners, zoos, shelters and other public organizations. These animals are cared for and rehabilitated until they can be found happy homes. Sean Casey Animal Rescue is located at 153 East 3 Street in Brooklyn, New York.
$200 VIP tickets include dinner and drinks with the stars at 7:00 p.m. $100. tickets include cocktails and hors d'œuvres at 8:00 p.m. prior to the 8:30 p.m. performance.
