Broadway and opera star Luke Grooms will be presenting a cabaret, titled "Luke Grooms is a Sassy Black Lady," at Germano's Trattoria on February 26th at 7:30 p.m. The hilarious, tongue-in-cheek cabaret will feature songs made famous by female African American performers such as Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, and Whitney Houston.

The act will also include Broadway favorites from The Color Purple, Dreamgirls, The Wiz, and Porgy and Bess, as well as others which we all know and love. Luke has performed all over the world, including at The Metropolitan Opera, and on tour with The Phantom of the Opera, which played one of its last stops in Baltimore. While performing here Luke fell in love with the city and moved here after the tour closed. He has since performed with various local venues including Baltimore Lyric Opera, The Fulton Theatre in Lancaster, PA, and with Concert Artists of Baltimore. Luke last performed at Germano's last year in his cabaret "Put Your Junk in your Trunk, " which he also performed in L.A. to rave review.

Tickets are $10.00 and reservations are strongly suggested for this venue in Little Italy. Germano's is located at 300 S. High Street just across from Sabatino's Restaurant. Food and drink is available pre-show, doors open at 6pm.
