Lucy Thurber's Play 'Stay' Runs Off-Broadway 3/8-4/15

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater will conclude its 12th season with the World Premiere of Stay, a play by Lucy Thurber, directed by Jackson Gay. Performances begin on Thursday, March 8th, 2007. Opening night is Monday, March 19th at 7pm. The show will run through Sunday, April 15th, 2007. 
 
"A young writer, in the darkest moments of her youth, discovered an angel. Having achieved great success, she must now learn to let go of this beautiful gift, all the while struggling to define and accept herself in the absence of this muse and savior," according to notes. 
 
The cast includes: Jenny Maguire (ANON, Acts of Mercy), Sam Rosen (Ham Lake), Thomas Sadoski (Reckless, Where We¹re Born), Maggie Siff (Frank's Place, The Ruby Sunrise )and Jesse Weixler ("Teeth" - 2007 Sundance Special Jury Acting Award). 
 
The creative team is comprised of Erik Flatmo (sets), Scott Bolman (lights), Jenny Mannis (costumes), Daniel Baker (sound) and Aaron Meicht (original music). Christina Rowe is Production Stage Manager and Robin Ganek is Assistant Stage Manager. 
 
Lucy Thurber (Playwright) attended New River Dramatists in North Carolina and is the author of seven plays - Where We're Born, Ashville, Scarcity, Killers and Other Family, Stay, Bottom of The World and Monstrosity. Thurber's play Bottom of The World was workshopped by WET at The Eugene O'Neill Playwrights' Center and was part of the first Tribeca Theater Festival. It also received a workshop at The Public Theater. Rattlestick Playwrights Theater produced Where We're Born in the fall of 2003 and Killers and Other Family in 2001. Thurber is a member of MCC Playwrights' Coalition, Primary Stages writing group, 13P and New Dramatists. 

Stay will have the following performance schedule: Wednesday ­ Saturday at 8pm, and Sunday at 7pm.
