Lucky Strike, the nationally-acclaimed entertainment venue, and Breastcancer.org, the non-profit dedicated to providing the most reliable, complete and up-to-date information about breast cancer, are partnering up to help raise funds for the organization. From September 30 to October 31, the Manhattan (42nd St & 12th Ave.) and Philadelphia (1336 Chestnut Street) Lucky Strike locations will be "going pink" and hosting several initiatives to educate patrons about Breastcancer.org's mission of helping women and their loved ones make sense of the complex medical and personal information about the disease, so they can make the best decisions for their lives.
"Over the past four years, Lucky Strike has been proud to support Breastcancer.org, and we've generated more than $1.8 million dollars from previous fundraising events at our Manhattan location," said Lucky Strike Co-Founder and CEO Steven Foster. "The initiatives we'll be hosting in Manhattan and Philadelphia are a way for us to grow our partnership with such a wonderful organization, and really engage our customers on a greater and more accessible level to give back."
"Every dollar raised helps two women by providing them with real answers to complex questions about breast cancer and breast health," said Rita Lusen, Vice President of Corporate Partnerships and Marketing at Breastcancer.org. "With the global incidence of breast cancer expected to double by 2040, there is a critical need for expert medical information about breast cancer and breast health. Our partnership with Lucky Strike is so valuable because it supports our core mission: to serve the millions around the world who come to us for answers each year."
At both locations, patrons can donate directly to Breastcancer.org in $5 increments and receive a $10 Spare Bucks Gift Card from Lucky Strike as a thank you, as well as be entered into a weekly raffle to receive a Feeling Aware Party for up to 8 guests. Additionally, $1 from each item purchased from Lucky Strike's Breastcancer.org menu will be donated to the organization.
Lucky Strike's Corporate Executive Chef Bill Starbuck has developed a tasty selection of gourmet menu items, that includes: Mini Turkey Burgers on toasted brioche buns with fresh turkey, maple mustard, dried cranberries and Brie cheese; Pretzel Dippers served with jalapeño aioli, yellow and honey mustard; Grilled Apple & Brie Quesadilla with mustard-maple syrup and bacon bits; and Arugula Salad with diced tomato, shaved red onion and parmesan cheese, tossed in a balsamic dressing. At Lucky Strike in Manhattan, guests can look forward to having the VeeV Acaí Berry Split Cosmopolitan, and in Philadelphia, patrons can choose the Pink Mojito, Tickled Pink, Paint The Town Pink Martini and The Pink Flamingo cocktails to further the cause.
At all of its locations across the country until October 31, Lucky Strike will also be donating 20% of the proceeds from event lane rentals for 20 or more people when mentioning "Breastcancer.org."
