Lucky, the magazine about style and how you get it, will host their 9th annual LUCKY SHOPS in New York.  Its the ultimate shopping event with amazing designer deals and is in partnership with American Express®.  LUCKY SHOPS runs on December 6th, 7th and 8th.
The event, rescheduled due to Hurricane Sandy, kicks-off on December 6th with a VIP Charity Shopping Night, hosted by Academy Award winning actress and two-time Grammy® Award-winning recording artist Jennifer Hudson at 82Mercer, followed by two consumer shopping days.  A portion of the proceeds will now go to the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City helping those affected by Hurricane Sandy in addition to Hudson's personal charity, the Julian D. King Gift Foundation.
"After being impacted by the storm, we are more committed than ever to celebrating the energy and excitement of this city through shopping," said Lucky's Vice President and Publisher, Marcy Bloom. About the charities
The Mayor's Fund is supporting children and families in need of immediate and long-term hurricane relief efforts in New York City. The Mayor's Fund retains no administrative fee, and one hundred percent of donations are being dispersed to relief efforts and organizations. Funds will support immediate aid needs – including, food, water and hygiene supplies – as well as long-term relief and restoration across the five boroughs.
The Julian D. King Gift Foundation, a non-profit organization, created by LUCKY SHOPS host Jennifer Hudson in memory of her beloved nephew Julian, provides stability, support and positive experiences for children of all backgrounds to help enable them to grow to be productive, confident and happy adults.
