For his Show on Valentine's Day in the Metropolitan Pavilion, designer Malan Breton chose 13 Ost cufflinks to perfect his James Bond menswear looks.
James Bond 007 was the inspiration for the Fall 2012 menswear collection entitled Fantôme. The modern-cut suits reflected confidence and intelligence, highlighting strong colors as well as classic tones. A variety of fedora hats complemented the smart and elegant looks. To add a special detail, all 25 men's looks featured refined silver cufflinks made by the upcoming German label 13 Ost. What impressed on the runway could be inspected more closely backstage at the 13 Ost booth after the show. Press representatives and celebrities such as Giant's Super Bowl winner Mario Manningham, "Real Housewifes of Orange County" star Gretchen Rossi with husband Slade Smiley, or Allison Harvard from "America's Next Topmodel" were intrigued by the sophisticated cufflink designs from Germany.
Taiwanese born Malan Breton lives and works in New York City and Paris. He was the subject of a six-part series on Bravo TV entitled "The Malan Show" and designed the Primetime Gameshow "Minute to Win It" on NBC which received him a nomination for the WGSN Global Fashion Award. His flair for fashion and celebrities are revealed in his weekly column for "OK Magazine", entitled: Malan's Musings.
For his fashion show, Malan wore a pair of 13 Ost cufflinks himself. This very pair can be won on the 13 Ost Facebook page www.facebook.com/13ost. The winner will be drawn on February 29th.
