The Times Square Alliance will be hosting a full day celebration of love and romance on Valentine's Day. Love birds will flock to the Crossroads of the World and share fairy tale moments from weddings to surprise proposals, and finally culminating in a large vow renewal ceremony on February 14th on Duffy Square at 46th Street and Broadway.
Live Wedding Ceremonies
Two pairs of smitten sweethearts will say "I do" in Times Square on the most romantic day of the year near the eleventh annual Valentine Heart sculpture, X - an 18-foot-tall structure (the largest and tallest design ever selected for this competition) made with two intersecting aluminum planes, creating a passageway and meeting place. Rounded openings at the crossing of the planes combine to form heart shapes when viewed from different angles.
Live Surprise Proposals
Two couples will share one of life's most special moments with everyone in Times Square as two lucky lovers are surprised by their partners with a Valentine's Day gift they aren't likely to forget: a surprise marriage proposal on Times Square's iconic American Eagle screen.
Vow Renewal Ceremony
Those who have already said "I do" will celebrate their love and reaffirm their commitment for each other on the Red Steps in Duffy Square as hundreds of partners participate in a vow renewal ceremony. Actor Andy Karl from Broadway's Pretty Woman: The Musical will sing "You and I" as spouses of all ages, genders, religions, races and backgrounds once again renew their infinite bond of love. Couples can register for this FREE event at tsq.org/vows.
Throughout the day, T-Mobile Times Square will be on site celebrating its three year anniversary in Times Square with a DJ playing music and with giveaways.
