Lorraine Goodman Named New Director of Development of NYMF

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) today announced that Lorraine Goodman has been named as the new Director of Development for the organization.

As Director of Development, Goodman will be responsible for coordinating and implementing fundraising plans to support the operations and continued financial health of the Festival, with a focus on corporate and foundation giving, individual donor relationships, and special events.

"We are thrilled to have someone with Lorraine's talent and passion leading our Development efforts," said Executive Director & Producer Dan Markley. "We welcome her to the NYMF family, and look forward to working with her."

"Musical theatre has always been an important part of my life," added Lorraine Goodman. "I am honored to be part of this important institution that nurtures the development of this great American art form and energized by the vast array of talent NYMF brings to the stage. I am excited to work with Dan as NYMF enters a new phase in its history and help him implement his vision for institutional advancement."

Goodman succeeds Scott Pyne, who recently moved to TheatreworksUSA.

Lorraine Goodman (Director of Development) For many years, Lorraine Goodman was best known as a performer, including numerous appearances on Broadway.

Ms. Goodman joins NYMF after working as the Grants Manager at Theatre for a New Audience, managing the company's institutional giving as it transitioned to its new home, Polonsky Shakespeare Center in Downtown Brooklyn. She also worked in development at American Lyric Theatre and the Red Hot Organization, best known for its 1990 iconic tribute to Cole Porter's Red Hot + Blue.

Ms. Goodman received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University and her Masters in Performing Arts Administration at NYU: Steinhardt.
