Despite the beautiful theaters that grace it's streets, we can all agree that Times Square holds a colorful cast of characters. From a questioning Spiderman, to a headless Minnie Mouse, and even, wait a second, is that Mike Pence?

Dubbing himself "Mike Hot Pence," this impersonator walks around the streets of Times Square formally dressed from the waist up buy sports bright blue shorts, despite the winter temperatures. He also carries a jar that states he's collecting funds to support Planned Parenthood.

Now, if only the actual Vice President-elect could take a page out of his book.

So, who's the man behind this hot take on current political issues that suffers from the burden of resembling the man behind the Religious Freedom Bill? None other than actor Glen Pannell!

Journalist Howard Sherman, who discovered Mike Hot Pence a few days prior, got to interview Glenn and discover the reason behind his cause.

"Shortly after the Republican convention over the summer, a few people remarked on my resemblance to Pence," Pannel told Sherman. "I have family in Indiana so I knew that Pence was governor. But it wasn't until he signed the anti-gay Religious Freedom Bill last year that I really started paying attention to him. I'm gay so that made me sit up and take notice. And it's those kinds of policy decisions that are energizing my activism now."

As for why Mike Hot Pence and not just a normal impersonation? A friend suggested to him that he should dress as Mike Pence for Halloween. "I decided to have some fun with it and dress as "Sexy Mike Pence." Once I decided on jacket and tie for the top half and short shorts for the bottom half, the "Hot-Pence" moniker popped into my head."

Planned Parenthood isn't the only foundation he's looking to donate to. Glenn exclaimed that for the next few weeks, he'd also like to raise money for Natural Resources Defense Council, The Trevor Project, and International Refugee Assistance Project, as well as other charities.

If you would like to encounter Mike Hot Pence and make a donation towards his cause, he'll be in Times Square tomorrow, Saturday the 10th, from 11am-2pm!
