Liza with a Z Shown and Minnelli, Meron and Zadan Interviewed by Scott Nevins at Film Fest, Oct. 21

On Friday, October 21, Scott Nevins will interview the legendary Liza Minnelli live onstage at the East Hampton Film Festival.

The interview, in which Nevins will also chat with movie musical producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan (Chicago), will accompany a screening of the restored "Liza with a Z." Fans will be able to see the famed concert its premiere on Showtime this spring. Meron and Zadan are responsible for bringing it to TV.

Minnelli is the winner of three Tony Awards, an Oscar, a Golden Globe and an Emmy (for "Liza with a Z"). She won a Theatre World Award for Best Foot Forward, Tony Awards for Flora, the Red Menace and The Act, and a Special Tony Award in 1974. She was nominated for an Oscar for The Sterile Cuckoo, and won the Oscar and the Golden Globe Award for the film version of Cabaret, directed by Bob Fosse. The daughter of Judy Garland, her other Broadway credits include The Rink, Chicago and Victor/Victoria, and she has also been seen on film in New York, New York, Arthur and others.

According to his website, Nevins' other hosting credits include the Broadway at the Center series with Tony winner William Finn, The PLFAG 30th Anniversary Gala at Tavern On The Green, Memoirs of a Cajun American Princess – The works of Lenora Champagne,  Miracle of Lafayette Street for God's Love We Deliver, Why Do Women Get All Of the Good Songs On Broadway?, The Drag Queens of Comedy (Caroline's On Broadway), She's So Funny!, and Cocktails At Sunset – a Fundraiser for the Kerry/Edwards Campaign, as well as several shows for BC/EFA, such as two of BroadwayWorld's Standing Ovations concerts. He also directed the off-Broadway hit Popera!

Each year, the East Hampton Film Festival presents discussions between a distinguished moderator and a special guest. Past guests have included Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, Quincy Jones, Isabella Rossellini, Anjelica Houston, Richard Dreyfuss, Roy Scheider, Barry Sonnenfeld, Danny Aiello, Julian Schnabel, Harvey Keitel, and Fay Wray.
