After two successful weekends in October and November, Liza Minnelli will return to the Luxor Thursday, March 29 - Saturday, March 31.
The star will "showcase her renowned, dynamic talent and to celebrate her birthday at the Luxor Theater," according to press notes. The performances are scheduled to begin 8 p.m. nightly.
Minnelli will perform her well-known hits "Bye Bye Blackbird," "Cabaret," "Losing My Mind," "Some People," and her signature song, "New York, New York."
"With powerful stage presence and unrivaled vocal style, Minnelli will once again prove to Las Vegas that her legendary talent is better than ever."
Minnelli has won every major entertainment accolade including an Oscar, a Tony, an Emmy and a Grammy, making her part of a select group of performers who have won entertainment's top four awards. Those awards include the Oscar for her performance as Sally Bowles in the movie Cabaret, the Emmy for the TV special, "Liza with a Z" and three Tony Awards: for Flora the Red Menace in 1965, a special Tony in 1974 and a second Tony, for The Act. Additionally, she was honored with the Academy Award for the role of Pookie Adams in The Sterile Cuckoo.
Minnelli has made notable public performances including the re-opening of the Statue of Liberty on July 4, 1986, the 2001 New York Mets baseball game after the September 11 attacks and at the 2006 Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular. Most recently, Minnelli was seen as a guest star on "& Order: Criminal Intent" and in the HBO comedy movie "The Oh in Ohio."
