Little Radical Theatrics (Fatima Viegas, Executive Producer) proudly presents its first show of LRT's 5th full season, the classic Broadway comedy "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum". Directed by LRT Artistic Director Michael J Mirra, Choreographed by Bretten Popiel with Musical Direction by Steve Loftus. "Something familiar, something peculiar, something for everyone: a comedy tonight!" is the promise of one of Broadway's most loved musicals. Sure, producers and audiences may have missed the boat with the heavily anticipated, indefinitely postponed James Corden-led revival this past season, but that's where the Little Radicals come in to serve up the surplus of silliness! A FUNNY THING ... FORUM tells the story of Pseudolus, a slave in ancient Rome, who goes to great lengths to gain his freedom by helping his young master woo the pretty girl next door. Of course, as is the case with any great farce, the road is anything but smooth, and our crafty hero must corral a company comprised of lustful aristocrats, vain warriors, slinky courtesans, and terrified eunuchs, while dodging a riotous succession of stunning surprises, wild chases, mistaken identities, and a bunch of bawdy humor - all in the pursuit of love, freedom, and delivering an evening's worth of entertainment! This fast-paced, witty and irreverent romp may be a 50 year-old musical from a bygone era based on 2000 year-old plays, but this brand new staging hopes to provide a breath of fresh air to split your sides and warm your toga-clad body this winter. Proving that, ultimately, a good laugh can last a long time. Starring John J Hartigan as Pseudolus, Jim Deblasi as Hysterim, John Palacio as Marcus Lycus, Justin Santore as Hero, Maura Gillespie as Philia, James Maguire as Senex, Stephanie Lourenco as Domina, David Richy as Miles Gloriosus, and Wylie Cohen as Erronius. Featuring Chris Nardi, Gabbie Sansone and Sam Yaggy as the Proteans; Maria Nadia Michaels as Gymnasia, Gabrielle Sarrubbo as Vibrata, Janaki Gerard as Tintinabula, Jasmine Malave and Emma Johnson as The Geminae and Alexandra Grunberg as Panacea. "Forum" will play the Will Library Theater at the Grinton I Will Library 1500 Central Ave, Yonkers NY January 15th-17th.
