Linedy Genao, Reanne Acasio & Eliseo Roman to Lead Reading Of New Musical CAFE CON LECHE

New York Theatre Barn will produce a reading of Maiga Vidal's original musical Café con Leche featuring Linedy Genao (Bad Cinderella, Dear Evan Hansen), Reanne Acasio (Hamilton), Eliseo Roman (In the Heights), and Fran Tapia (On Your Feet!). The reading will take place on January 10, 2025 in New York City.

Set in Los Angeles, Café con Leche follows Alejandra, an accountant who longs to be the perfect immigrant daughter for her parents, even if it means staying in the closet forever. When the bank threatens to foreclose on her parent's donut shop, Alejandra, with the help of charming and unconventional social media manager, Megan, opens Café con Leche, a local LA-themed coffee spot to moonlight after-hours to make ends meet. As her success with Café con Leche and her feelings for Megan begin to grow, Alejandra starts to question just how much she's willing to hide to keep her parents' love.

The reading is directed and produced by Héctor Flores Jr., with music direction, orchestrations and arrangements by Felipe Segovia Sanhueza, and the stage manager is Mikey Anthony Sylvester. The cast also includes Kennen Butler, Caleb Conaway, Tess Edwards, Amanda Gulla,  Allie Lewis, Taylor Wendell Lozano, and Cassidy O'Connell.
