Lindsey Carse, the youngest salon owner in Beverly Hills, announced the grand opening of her second salon in Santa Monica - Fringe of Beverly Hills: A Kyle Mathis Salon at 2717 Main Street, Santa Monica, CA 90405.

Carse opened her first salon, Fringe of Beverly Hills: A Lindsey Carse Salon- 9406 Brighton Way, Beverly Hills, CA 90210, - in the heart of Beverly Hills in March of 2011. In the short span of a year, her business had flourished and she decided to open her second salon. Within the first year she had her salon, she also met the love of her life, Kyle Mathis, and was recently engaged.

Mathis has had over 16 years in the hair stylist industry and has been an educator for Toni & Guy, TIGI , and Bedhead. Mathis will be managing the Fringe in Santa Monica while Carse manages the Fringe in Beverly Hills.

Recently, Seventeen magazine featured Carse in an article called "Girls who Started Their Own Businesses!" The article praises her for position as a role model and for her success: "[A]t just 26, Carse's dream finally came true - she became the youngest female salon owner in Beverly Hills with the launch of Fringe of Beverly Hills: A Lindsey Carse Salon!"

At age 15, Carse "realized that hair was [her] calling" while working at a small salon in Montana. Two years later at 17, she headed out West. She dreamt of owning her own salon on Rodeo Drive. She enrolled at Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica when she arrived in California. When Carse graduated from the academy at age 18, she was offered an apprenticeship at the Vidal Sassoon in Beverly Hills.

When she finished her apprenticeship she went on tour as the tour hair stylist with the Dave Matthews Band. She then moved back to Beverly Hills to once again to "be a part of the hair mecca of the world" as she says.

Carse believes that part of her business success stems from the family-setting culture of her team. Whether she is asking her stylists for opinions or advice, she always respects their view and showcases their talents.

"I was looking to hire down to earth, talented, and skilled hair stylists and colorists that were looking to grow together with the salon. No one works for me, they work with me," explains Carse. A fearless pioneer in the West Coast hair salon scene, Carse is the youngest female to add her name to the elite list of salons on the prestigious Brighton Way in Beverly Hills 90210.

How did she manage to beat the odds? "That's simple," says Carse, "It's something I always wanted to do and will continue to do for the rest of my life. Now, I am lucky enough to be able to do that with my future husband! We are so excited to expand and merge with Kyle Mathis Hairstyling in our new salon in Santa Monica right on Main Street!"
