Internationally recognized music star Linda Eder has hinted that a country album could very well be in her future via a fan question she recently replied to on Fanbridge.
Eder writes, "There is another 'Linda kind of country' CD coming. I'm still developing that sound."
In March, Eder announced that she would next create a fan-centric release, focused on songs chosen by her many fans worldwide. So, could a country album be next after that?
Eder has proven her country abilities in the past with many individual tracks as well as on her country-tinged, self-penned album THE OTHER SIDE OF ME.
Perhaps some Patsy Cline will make the songlist for the country album, as well, especially since Eder is an avowed fan of the classic artist. In my 2012 SOUND OFF Special Interview with Eder focused on her SONGBIRDS tribute show - which included an homage to Cline, incidentally, with Eder performing "Crazy" and "Walking After Midnight" - she remarked, "She was so iconic and her voice was so unique - it is so sad that she died at such a young age."
Eder also revealed her affection for more contemporary country acts in our chat, stating, "I am a big fan of Lady Antebellum. My favorite album right now is Zac Brown Band. My favorite, favorite song right now is one of theirs and it sounds so much like James Taylor mixed with Jimmy Buffett - it's called 'Colder Weather'."

So, could the Zac Brown Band's "Colder Weather" maybe make the country album? What about Patsy Cline covers? What material in particular would you like to hear on a Linda Eder country album?
