Lincoln Center Reschedules Kerala Kalamandalam Kathakali Troupe Performance

Lincoln Center has announced that due to issues with artist visas, the performance by the Kerala Kalamandalam Kathakali Troupe scheduled for Friday, October 28 at 7:30 pm must be rescheduled. It will now take place on Monday, October 31 at 7:30 pm at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College. A pre-concert lecture by Lakshmi Vishwanathan has also been moved to October 31 and will take place at 6:15 pm in the Anya and Andrew Shiva Gallery.

Seat assignments for the original performance date will be honored for all ticketholders.

Audience members who are unable to attend on the new date can exchange tickets for another White Light Festival performance or receive a refund. Exchanges and refunds are available by calling CenterCharge at 212.721.6500.

This performance is part of Sounds of India, a special focus on the arts of India that is part of Lincoln Center's White Light Festival this year. Kerala Kalamandalam Kathakali Troupe is made up of actors and musicians from a prestigious performing arts institution. The troupe combines elaborate costumes and makeup, refined gestures, and the ornate singing of the mythic dance-drama Kathakali to perform "The Killing of Dussasana" from the epic Hindu tale the Mahabharata.
