Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts announced today it is pulling back the curtain and bringing arts fans behind-the-scenes of the world's leading cultural campus on Friday, October 7, 2016, with A Day in the Life at Lincoln Center, which will stream live on its Facebook page. The all-day Facebook Live broadcast will give never-before-seen access to activities onstage and off. This unprecedented live social media event will show viewers the creative power of the 11 resident performing arts organizations that make up Lincoln Center and provide New York City its cultural heartbeat.

Wake up to the beauty of the Revson Fountain; meet piano virtuoso Lang Lang before his concert with the New York Philharmonic, and film legends at the Film Society's prestigious New York Film Festival; experience a ballerina's day with New York City Ballet's Megan Fairchild; discover an insider's view of Juilliard; see the magic offstage at the Metropolitan Opera; take an advanced class with the School of American Ballet; get the curators' perspective at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts; cook with the chef at Lincoln Ristorante; and be enchanted by musicians from the Chamber Music Society; enjoy a live performance at the David Rubenstein Atrium. From Lincoln Center Theater's Falsettos to the rhythm at Jazz at Lincoln Center to the Tisch WNET Studios, viewers will see what happens onstage and off, and meet the people who make Lincoln Center the world's leading cultural campus.

"Working in this creative environment every day is so inspiring; we wanted to share that inspiration with a global audience," said Peter Duffin, Lincoln Center Senior Vice President of Brand and Marketing. "By utilizing Facebook Live, we're able to offer fans around the world never-before-seen access to the place that we love, livestreamed and unedited."
