Lin-Manuel Miranda Writes Passionate Ode To Neil Patrick Harris

Tony Award-winning actor, songwriter and all-around Broadway super-supporter Lin-Manuel Miranda writes a passionate ode to similarly multi-talented and copiously recognizable theatrical proponent and marquee name Neil Patrick Harris in the new issue of Vanity Fair.

Miranda begins, "Watch: Neil Patrick Harris at age 20, on the other side of four years as Doogie Howser, M.D. This is usually where the tabloid headlines start. A child star in a well-loved show? Welcome to oblivion. People will shout "Hey, Doog!" in the streets; VH1 will come calling when it's time for I Love the 90s."

Continuing, Miranda adds, "What does N.P.H. do? He doubles down on his passions: magic and musical theater.
