Lin-Manuel Miranda Shares Tony Awards Dummy Lyrics

Tony Award-winning IN THE HEIGHTS composer/lyricist/star and Tony Awards specialty material master Lin-Manuel Miranda has taken to Twitter to share some dummy lyrics he wrote for rehearsal use in Sunday night's festivities.

Not used in the actual telecast proper, of course, the dummy lyrics stood in for what would become an epic finale recap of the major moments of the momentous evening as they occured - KINKY BOOTS winning big, PIPPIN making magic, NPH kissing Sandy the dog from ANNIE, Mike Tyson and more - which was ultimately performed by genial fourtime Tony Awards host Neil Patrick Harris himself alongside five-time Tony Award-winner Audra McDonald. And, it rocked!

"Well that was our show folks / That was the Tony Show / Here's a fake demo," go the first few lines of the funny fake filler material penned for rehearsal use only, obviously.

The recap number utilized a rap format, with a knowing musical wink to Jay-Z/Alicia Keys "Empire State Of Mind".
