"Life is a Cabaret" -- A Benefit for Urban Stages at the Central Park Boathouse
Urban Stages, a not-for-profit Off-Broadway theatre will hold their 24th annual benefit on Monday, May 12th at the Boathouse in Central Park. Urban Stages is honoring Broadway actor Jim Naughton, international artist Edwina Sandys and international cabaret star Julie Wilson. Benefit Chairpersons are Angela Casciato, Managing Director, Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Credit Suisse; and Stanley Zareff, Vice President Corporate Communications at Credit Suisse. He is also a member of Urban Stages' Board of Directors. Credit Suisse is the sponsor of the evening. Funds from the benefit help support Urban Stages' aver 400 outreach programs bring theatre arts to libraries in the five boroughs and Harlem Day Charter School.
"Life is a Cabaret" will be an evening of boat rides on the lake, cabaret entertainment, cocktails and Classic American cuisine. There will be a live auction with Hugh Hildesley of Sotheby's as the auctioneer. Actress/singer Sarah Chalfy from Urban Stages musical 27 Rue de Fleurus will sing cabaret songs accompanied by the music of John Korba's band.Videos
