Lesli Margherita, star of the original West End production, will recreate her Olivier Award-winning role of Inez in the first international tour of ZORRO THE MUSICAL, opening next month at the Oriental Art Center in Shanghai.

Margherita will perform a limited three week engagement October 26 through November 13. The show is presented through special arrangement with Showtime Asia Group.

In 2009, Ms. Margherita won the Olivier Award for Best Supporting Performer in a Musical for her tour de force performance as ‘Inez' in the West End production of ZORRO at The Garrick Theatre. One of the stars of Kenny Ortega's MGM television series "Fame LA", she has also been seen in many tv shows and films, including "The Suite Life On Deck", "Charmed", "NYPD Blue", Joel Schumacher's The Number 23, Steven Spielberg's "On The Lot", and Disney's Cinderella 3. National tour and Regional theater credits include starring roles in KISS ME KATE opposite Tom Hewitt, SPAMALOT opposite Gary Beach, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, ZORBA, SEE WHAT I WANNA SEE, DAMN YANKEES directed by Jason Alexander, AIDA, REEFER MADNESS, and WEST SIDE STORY. Ms. Margherita's critically acclaimed nightclub act, ALL HAIL THE QUEEN recently made its NYC debut at The Midtown Theater after several sold out runs in Los Angeles. Margherita can currently be seen as Julie in SHOWBOAT at The Goodspeed Opera House.

With book and lyrics by Stephen Clark and original music by The Gipsy Kings, ZORRO opened on the West End in 2008, where it garnered multiple Olivier nominations. Since its West End closing, productions have been mounted in France, Russia, Japan and Holland. Upcoming productions are scheduled for Korea, Italy, Germany, and the United States.
