Summer is finally on its way and so is chic, colorful warm-weather clothing. To celebrate, Leon & Lulu (96 W. 14 Mile in Clawson) will host a summer fashion show and clothing collection for Career Dress from 6-8 p.m. tonight, June 3. The event is free and open to the public.

Sit back, relax and see summer's most fashionable finds, including stylish staple pieces, unique accessories, and one-of-a kind jewelry from Leon & Lulu. The store's stylists will dress real customers who will walk the runway while a DJ spins inspiring music.

"It's time to clean out your closet and step into a new summer wardrobe... we've earned it after this winter," says Mary Liz Curtin, co-owner of Leon & Lulu. "Most importantly, we urge women to bring gently worn career clothing, shoes and accessories to the event. We can help lots of women while we clean our closets - a match made in heaven!"

Career Dress of Oakland County, the event's benefactor, serves as a one-stop-shop to help women in need who are actively pursuing employment. Experienced volunteers style and completely outfit women with interview clothing, shoes, undergarments and a matching handbag. Once employment is secured, Career Dress is also able to provide at least two additional complete work outfits to women. On average, Career Dress helps approximately 30 women a month and has assisted more than 3,000 women in need since founded in 2003. For more information about Career Dress, call 248.920.6000 ext. 2237.

Leon & Lulu will be accepting donations of gently used career clothing now through the June 3. Please visit http://leonandlulu.com/girlsnightout for an explanation of suitable clothing and requested items. This provides a great excuse for women to clean out closets for a good cause.

Girls' Night Out takes place from 6-8 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month at Leon & Lulu. Women are invited to enjoy wine, goodies, great ladies and fantastic tips - and all in the name of charity. Visit www.leonandlulu.com/girlsnightout for a complete list of events.
