Actress/writer Lenore Zann has dazzled audiences throughout her native Canada with her recreation of legendary screen goddess Marilyn Monroe. The Marilyn Tapes traces the evolution of an icon, from 16-year-old Norma Jean Baker to Playboy's first centerfold to Hollywood's most enduring celebrity, as popular in death as in her lifetime. Set in a rat-pack era jazz club, Zann's evocative portrayal of the innocent Norma Jean Baker and her alter ego Marilyn chronicles Monroe's meteoric rise through songs and stories. Acclaimed singer / songwriter / pianist David Raleigh plays Billy, her musical director.
Who: Written, directed and performed by Canadian actress Lenore Zann as Marilyn.
