On the week before the opening of Lennon, The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus will pay a visit to New York City from July 25th to July 29th.

Lennon fans can visit the recording-studio-on-wheels at the following places and dates: at Strawberry Fields in Central Park from 4 PM to 7 PM on Monday, July 25th, at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 W. 44th St.) from 11 AM to 2 PM and 5 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, July 27th, at the Warwick Hotel (65 W. 54th St.) from 12 PM to 4 PM on Thursday, July 28th and again at the Broadhurst Theatre from 3 PM to 8 PM on Friday, July 29th.

The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus is
a non-profit, mobile recording and multimedia studio outfitted with traditional musical instruments as well as the latest technology including Apple audio and video solutions. Since 1998, the Bus has provided free hands-on programs to thousands of schools, Boys and Girls Clubs, music festivals, concerts, conventions and community organizations across the country year-round.  Working together with some of the biggest names in music including Yoko Ono, Black Eyed Peas, Mos Def, and many more, the Bus encourages students to play music, write songs, engineer recording sessions and produce music video projects. The whole mission of the bus is to inspire people in John's name.

Lennon began previews at the Broadhurst Theatre on July 7th, and will open on August 4th. Produced by Allan McKeown, Edgar Lansbury, Clear Channel Entertainment and Jeffrey Sine by arrangement with Lennon's widow Yoko Ono, the biographical musical of the Beatles legend features Don Scardino's book and direction. "A musical biography, a concert, and a celebration all in one, Lennon takes us on a magical, mythical journey behind the greatest rock legacy and the boldest love story of our time - with words, images and some of the best pop songs ever written. From the Beatles to the Bed-Ins, from his musical partnership with Paul to his life partnership with Yoko, Lennon will bring you back to a time when music could change your soul... and one musician could change the world," according to a press article.

Will Chase (Aida), Chuck Cooper (Caroline, or Change), Julie Danao (Saturday Night Fever), Mandy Gonzalez (Dance of the Vampires), Marcy Harriell (Lucky Duck), Chad Kimball (Into the Woods), Terrence Mann (Les Miserables), Julia Murney (The Wild Party), and Michael Potts (Twelfth Night) play multiple roles in Lennon (including the peace-minded rocker himself), and are backed by an onstage 10-piece band. After mixed word-of-mouth, however, revisions are being made to the show during the preview period.

In addition to songs from the Lennon catalogue, the show includes three of his rare and unpublished songs--"India, India" and "I Don't Want to Lose You" which were never published, and exist only on private recordings, and "Cookin' (in the Kitchen of Love)," which was recorded by Ringo Starr in 1976, but was never recorded by Lennon. Lennon is choreographed by
Joseph Malone, with John Arnone (scenic/ projection), Jane Greenwood (costume), Natasha Katz (lighting) and Bobby Aitken (sound) among the show's design team.

Lennon's playing schedule will be Tuesday - Saturday at 8pm, Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm, and Sunday at 3pm. Tickets, which range from $46.25 to $101.25, are available through Telecharge.com online or by phone at (212) 239-6200.
