The Heat Is On!, a theatrical concert backed by an 11- piece Big Band Orchestra based on the life of movie star, Rita Hayworth, will return to B.B. King Blue's Club for one performance only, on February 22nd, following a sold-out show this past July and 35 sold-out concerts in Greece. The Heat Is On! examines the life, loves & career of one of Hollywood's most electrifying sirens and stars Quinn Lemley.

"The Heat Is On! explores Miss Hayworth's infamous marriages to Orson Welles and Prince Aly Khan, her turbulent relationship with Columbia Pictures movie mogul Harry Cohn, her ascent into Hollywood stardom in the '40's, her relationships with Fred Astaire, Frank Sinatra and Dick Haymes and her final struggle with Alzheimer's. Miss Lemley takes you by the hand with Hayworth, as she invites you into the crevasses of her heart to share the flip side of her life through monologue and Hayworth's music, backed by an electrifying 11-piece Big Band, dance & five costume changes," according to press notes.

Written and directed by Carter Inskeep (Always, Patsy Cline), The Heat Is On! celebrates the music of Hayworth's films and life, with arrangements by Tedd Firth, with original orchestrations by Bob McDowell (Off-Broadway's Swingtime Canteen).

"The Other Side of Quinn Lemley is a late night, big band adventure, celebrating sexy, swingin' standards. Quinn lays down the character of Rita and she is "Quinntessentially" Quinn. The 30-minute set is a fun show celebrating international standards and Hollywood glam."

The Heat Is On! plays Thursday, February 22nd at BB King's Blues Club (237 West 42nd Street) at 8PM followed by The Other Side of Quinn Lemley.
