Leighann Lord Featured at Women Of A Certain Age Comedy Showcase At The Kraine Theatre ImageStandup comedian / author / keynote speaker Leighann Lord will be among the performers featured at the Women of a Certain Age (WOACA) comedy showcase of female comics who tell it like it is on Wednesday, February 7 at the Kraine Theatre located in Manhattan's East Village. Scheduled for 7:30pm, tickets are $15.00 and for reservations and further information go to: www.womenofacertainagecomedy.com/ or call (212) 777-6088.

Lord, who marked her 25th comedy birthday in 2017 and released her memoir "Real Women Do It Standing Up: Stories from the Career of a Very Funny Lady," in 2015, will be joined by fellow "old new faces of standup" WOACA creator / host Carole Montgomery, Veronica Mosey (HBO U.S. Comedy Arts Festival), and Vanessa Hollingshead (The Montreal Comedy Festival).

A co-host on Neil deGrasse Tyson's "Star Talk" television show and podcast and featured in Netflix' "Def Comedy Jam 25" special, Leighann says: "I believe that humor makes people happy. Happiness gives us hope and my hope is that if we can laugh together we can live together."

Montgomery whose decades-long career as a writer, producer and performer includes making over two dozen television appearances, long-term residencies in Las Vegas and entertaining US troops overseas calls WOACA "a comedy show for the ages." Part of an ongoing monthly series with a rotating cast of comedians, Carole adds the show comes "straight from the unfettered mouths and uninhibited minds of the funniest, most daring, most experienced people in comedy: the women that have seen it all."

The Kraine Theatre is located at 85 E 4th St (b/t Second & Third Aves) in Manhattan. Subway: "F"to Second Ave, "N" or "R" to 8th Street, #6 to Astor Place.
