Leg Up On Life Announces ART|Pact Benefiting Dancers Responding To AIDS  Image

Leg Up On Life is holding its inaugural ART|Pact, benefiting Dancers Responding AIDS on April 1st, 2019 at [le] Poisson Rouge. Doors will open at 7PM. Showtime at 8PM. The evening will be hosted by Leg Up On Life founder, Daniel Gold (national tours of Miss Saigon and Beauty and the Beast).

Leg Up On Life is an artistic initiative that brings artists of different platforms together for events to raise funds for organizations that give back directly to our communities. Leg Up also focuses on encouraging artist collaborations and bringing the arts community together as one.

ART|Pact will include Choreographers and Vocalists of different genres, creating collaborative and wild performances for an evening of awe inducing excitement! Proceeds go towards Dancers Responding to AIDS. Tickets in advance are $15, and day of show pricing is $20. Dancers Responding to AIDS mission: "Dancers Responding to AIDS, founded in 1991 by former Paul Taylor Dance Company members Denise Roberts Hurlin and Hernando Cortez. It is a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, one of the nation's leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fundraising and grant-making organizations. By drawing upon the talents, resources and generosity of the American theatre and dance communities, since 1988 Broadway Cares has raised more than $285 million for essential services for people with AIDS and other critical illnesses across the United States."

Choreographers include: Andrew Barret Cox (Oscar at the Crown), Corey John Snide (Cats and Carousel), Daniel Gold (National tours of Miss Saigon and Beauty and the Beast), Hannah Frederick, JJ Niemann (Book of Mormon), John Alix (Broadway Bares 23-27 Choreographer), Kanon Sapp of looseKANONdance, Katelin Zelon, Meghan McFerran, Miles Keeney, Mike Baerga (King Kong and Miss Saigon), Sarah Parker (Fiddler on the Roof and Jesus Christ Superstar NBC LIVE), and Steven Blandino.

Vocalists include: Caitlin Borek, Danielle Lussier (National tour of Elf), Hernando Umana (Kinky Boots, National tours of School of Rock and Kinky Boots), Jenna Rubaii (Groundhog Day and the International tour of American Idiot), Kayla Davion (Waitress, and King Kong), Kerri George, Lagoona Bloo (The Voice and National tour of Elf), Nick Martinez, Nick Rashad Burroughs (Kinky Boots, King Kong, and National tour of Something Rotten!), Madge Dietrich (National tour of Kinky Boots), Sam Assemany, Shonica Gooden (CATS, Hamilton: An American Musical, and Bring it On), and Tess Primack (Fiddler on the Roof)
