Nickolas Long, III is known as "THE WICKED Genius of Theatre" and "Harlem Shakespear" , two titles given to him by Bonifide theatre and film critics. He is an Award Winning Director-Writer , being in the arts since the young age of 7 years old. He was a former child actor for the renowed Freedom Theatre, and Arts Bank of the Univ of the Arts located in Philadelphia Pa. He relocated to New York City in 2007 to further his Directing and Writing career. 2008 Josiah Theatre Works was established based on the multi- talented "Harlem Shakespear" under the backing of the Prestigious Riverside Theatre/ Riverside Church of New York NY. Since then , He was Written and Directed Critically acclaimed dramas and musicals such as the AWARD WINNING "LENA(Black Cinderella)" Inspired by Lena Horne, "The Exchange", "More Then a Dream", "Tribute(Forget me not)", "Sangin' the Tears Away" and the TWO TIME COMCAST AWARD Winning "UNSPOKEN" which was adapted into a weekly soap opera series. In addition to being the Executive producing Director for Josiah Theatre Works, He has Directed for Industry giants, such as Woody King Jr's New Federal Theatre, The famous Copacabana, and has worked with legendary theatres, 13th st Theatre, The Negro Ensemble company and more. Nickolas Long, III has is also known for Writing and Directing numerous commercials for the likes of RED ROOSTER Restaurant, BARAWINE restaurant, Suite 55 and more. Nickolas Long, III continues to be a rising in demand Director, whose works can be found in the THEATRE WORLD BOOKS, by Ben Hodges , available at Barnes and Nobles, the U.S LIBRARY of Congress and more. Nickolas Long, III is a winner of 4 awards for "BEST DIRECTOR" and "TOP PRODUCER" His works have been seen on Primetime televsion , CBS, COMCAST NETWORKS and more. He has done countless interviews via radio and televison and magazines such as NEW YORKER , TIME OUT NY , UPTOWN MAGAZINE and more.
