Saxophonist Lee Konitz, guitarist Bill Frisell, bassist Gary Peacock and drummer Joey Baron return to the Blue Note for a weeklong run in anticipation of their upcoming release Enfants Terribles (2012), available commercially on Half Note Records September 25th. The group features four veteran jazzmen whose collective efforts on stage and in the studio span decades. Individually, each boasts a distinguished career path and network of associations representing a wide of range of jazz's stylistic directions.

Recorded live at the Blue Note, Enfants Terribles finds the group surveying tunes well known to the jazz community. The album features standards played and re-imagined throughout the years, among them, "Body & Soul," "I Can't Get Started," "What Is This Thing Called Love" and "Stella By Starlight." Though the repertoire is familiar, the renderings are new, a function of the collaborative spirit and interplay characterizing the partnership of these particular musicians.

The group will play Wednesday to Sunday, August 15 – 19, 8pm & 10:30pm at The Blue Note, 131 West 3rd Street, New York, NY. Tickets are $35 table seats, $20 at the bar.
