League of Professional Theatre Women to Host Networking Event, 5/4

The League of Professional Theatre Women will present a special event, "The Independent Producer" focusing on women producers in today's theater, on Monday May 4 from 6pm to 8pm at Theater Lab at 357 W. 36th St. on the 3rd floor.

The event will be in the form of a Round Table Discussion and will feature several notable theater producers. Included in the panel will be Margot Astrachan ("A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder") and Kimberly Loren Eaton ("Fun Home").

The panel will also include Susan Bernfield from New Georges, Cecilia Copeland from New York Madness, Sandra A. Daley-Sharif from HARLEM9, and Joan Kane from Ego Actus. The discussion will be moderated by former LPTW President Sheilah Rae from NY Theatre Barn.

The panel discussion will be followed by a Q&A with audience members and an informal networking session. (Remember to bring your business cards!) Refreshments will be available.
