Lea Michele has broken her silence on the tragic loss of her Glee co-star and boyfriend Cory Monteith. The actress took to twitter this morning, July 29th, to thank fans for their strong support through these difficult days.

Along with a photo (at left) of the couple taken in happier times, Michele tweeted:

"Thank you all for helping me through this time with your enormous love & support. Cory will forever be in my heart."

Monteith was found dead in his Vancouver hotel room on July 13th, the result of an accidental drug overdose. In recent weeks, his fellow Glee stars, including Amber Riley, Jenna Ushkowitz and Chris Colfer, have shared their grief through instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Others, including Matthew Morrison and Chord Overstreet, have expressed their sadness by dedicating musical performances to their fallen friend.

Michele portrays Rachel Berry on the FOX musical drama. It was recently announced that she would return as a series regular on the show's upcoming fifth season, now set to premiere on September 26th.
