Dan Lauria and Liz Larsen have joined the starry cast of Jeffrey Sweet's The Value of Names, which will be presented at New Jersey's George Street Playhouse from November 14th through December 17th.
Lauria replaces John Cullum, who had a scheduling conflict. They join the previously announced Jack Klugman (Gypsy, The Odd Couple), who will
portray Benny. "The Value of Names
tells the story of three people: Benny, a retired comic, Norma (Larsen), his
daughter and Leo (Lauria), Benny's former best friend who turned him over to the
House Un-American Activities Committee in the 50's. Benny's daughter is
now an actress, and circumstances occur which give Benny the
opportunity to confront his once beloved friend face to face," state
press notes. James Grossman will direct.Lauria, who most recently appeared Off-Broadway in A Stone Carver, is well-known for his work on "The Wonder Years."
