The American Repertory Theater announced today the details for its annual gala to be held on Monday, February 27, 2017 at the Boch Center Wang Theatre, 270 Tremont Street, Boston.

Under the leadership of gala co-chairs Katie and Paul Buttenwieser, Catherine Gellert, and Sid Yog, the A.R.T. is planning an evening of great dining and entertainment, building on the success of last year's gala, which raised over $1 million in support of the theater's mission to expand the boundaries of theater.

Featuring special performances by Laura Michelle Kelly, who starred as Sylvia Llewelyn Davies in the A.R.T.'s production of Finding Neverland in Cambridge and on Broadway, and Michael Luwoye, who appeared in Witness Uganda at the A.R.T. and currently as the alternate in the titular role in Hamilton on Broadway, the event will begin at 6PM with a cocktail party, followed at 7PM by dinner, a live auction, and the artistic program. Catering will be provided by The Catered Affair and floral arrangements will be designed by Ilex Designs.

The evening will also include the presentation of the A.R.T. Angel Award to A.R.T. Trustee RoAnn Costin, Founder and President of Wilderness Point Investments. A champion of the A.R.T., as well as many other arts and educational institutions in Greater Boston and around the country, RoAnn demonstrates a passionate belief in the power of performance to spark dialogue and inspire change. It is an honor to recognize RoAnn's countless contributions of time, energy, and wisdom, as she works tirelessly to elevate the arts in society.

Individual supporter tickets begin at $1,000. Full and half table sponsorship packages, as well as corporate sponsorship opportunities, are available.

The A.R.T. at Harvard University is a leading force in American theater, producing groundbreaking work in Cambridge and beyond. Winner of sixteen Tony Awards since 2012 for All the Way, The Glass Menagerie, Pippin, Once, and The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess, as well as multiple nominations for Waitress, A.R.T. productions that have seen recent success in N.Y.C., London, Edinburgh, Shanghai, and on tour include: Waitress, Finding Neverland, Nice Fish, Futurity, Invisible Thread, Sleep No More, Notes from the Field, and Natasha, Pierre, and The Great Comet of 1812. Artistic Director Diane Paulus advances the A.R.T.'s core mission to expand the boundaries of theater by programming events that immerse audiences in transformative theatrical experiences.

Proceeds from the gala will support the theater's artistic programming as well as its Education and Community Programs initiatives. Through subsidized tickets to world-class productions, mentoring opportunities, innovative theater workshops, artist talks, and more, the A.R.T. is dedicated to expanding the community's engagement with great theater.
