Lauper, Bean & Chamberlin Join Rosie on Riviera Cruise

R Family Cruises will host a star-studded collection of Broadway performers in their up-coming R Family Vacations Mexican Riviera Cruise, departing from San Diego, CA on March 15, 2008.

The week-long voyage features song, comedy and variety acts from Rosie O'Donnell, Shoshana Bean (Wicked), Seth Rudetsky (The Ritz and "Broadway Chatterbox"), Cyndi Lauper (recording star, Broadway's Threepenny Opera), Kevin Chamberlin (The Ritz), Marya Grandy, Brian Nash, Holly Cruikshank, Anne Steele, Ant, Jessica Kirson, Ross the Intern from "The Tonight Show" and Julie Goldman.  An R Family Vacations employee confirms more stars will be announced shortly.

Rosie O'Donnell is a 13-time Emmy Award-winning American comedienne, talk show host, television personality, celebrity blogger, gay rights activist, film, television, and stage actress.  She has appeared on Broadway in Fiddler on the Roof and Seussical! She also produced Taboo.

Rosie O'Donnell established the "Rosie's For All Kids Foundation," in 1997 which has raised more than $56 million and awarded more than $22 million dollars in grants to over 1,400 child-related non-profit organizations to benefit low-income families across the country.  In 2003, O'Donnell established "Rosie's Broadway Kids," a program that provides instruction in musical theater to the public school children of New York.

Rosie O'Donnell is an often-advocate for New York theatre, featuring Broadway performances on her Emmy Award-winning talk-show "The Rosie O'Donnell Show," which ran 1996 to 2001.  She was last seen as a co-host on the tenth season of ABC's "The View. She recently released her second book called Celebrity Detox with Warner books. Additionally, The Gallery at New World Stages is currently presenting "Solace" the art of Rosie O'Donnell on exhibition through December 2.
