Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestra's begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven- o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Below, BroadwayWorld brings you some cabaret highlights for this week, including: #Klendez, A Sophisticated Reunion, Battle of the Broadway Sexes, Broadway Ballyhoo! and 54 Sings Songs from Hello, Dolly!

Lindsay Mendez and Derek Klena: #Klendez

Known to New York audiences for playing Rose and Birdlace in Dogfight, and fresh off a run as Elphaba and Fiyero in Wicked, Lindsay Mendez and Derek Klena join forces once again, this time on the stage of 54 Below. The two will perform a rousing, eclectic evening celebrating the music they love and their genuine friendship. Directed by DOGFIGHT bookwriter Peter Duchan; Musical Direction by Dogfight and Wicked's Bryan Perri.

A Sophisticated Reunion

The Broadway at Birdland concert series is excited to announce that there will be A Sophisticated Reunion on Monday, July 7 at 7pm. Broadway's 1981 Sophisticated Ladies co-stars Valarie Pettiford, Terri Klausner, and Ty Stephens will bring swinging tunes, unmatched style and elements of their individual acts to the evening of music celebrating Duke Ellington. Songs like "Take The A Train," "Hit Me With A Hot Note," and "I Love You Madly" will be included in the concert, which will be under the musical direction of Ron Abel.

Battle of the Broadway Sexes

This Summer Joseph Macchia and The Metropolitan Room present Battle Of The Broadway Sexes. This 3 week competition will bring some of the most talented Broadway performers to The Metropolitan Room. Competing will be the Broadway Guys Vs The Broadway Dolls. The Dolls Team will be captained by Drama Desk Winner Doreen Montalvo ( In The Heights) and The Broadway Guys will be captained by Bret Shuford.

Broadway Ballyhoo!

Scott Siegel's critically acclaimed Broadway Ballyhoo, which regularly features great Broadway and nightclub stars in New York City, plays this summer at 54 Below on Tuesday, June 10th at 9:30 PM and Tuesday, July 8 at 9:30. This ever-changing musical variety show, soon to begin its third year of performances, will light up 54 Below this summer with all-star casts. For this second show in its new home, Scott Siegel, best known as the creator/writer/host of Town Hall's signature series, Broadway by the Year (in its 14th season), welcomes to the stage Jill Paice (Matilda), Mark Nadler, Carol Demas (Grease), Farah Alvin (Grease, Saturday Night Fever), Camille Saviola (Chicago), Bob Stillman (Act One, Grey Gardens), Marya Coburn, and Maxine Linehan.

Put on Your Sunday Clothes! 54 Below is the place to be this July when we salute the old girl's 50th anniversary. The room will be swayin' and the band playin' when some of Broadway's best tip their hats (with ribbons down the back, of course), to this treasured Jerry Herman score. Be there!
