Rolex presents "ON BROADWAY! A Glittering Salute To The American Musical"- Career Transition For Dancers', 23rd Anniversary Jubilee on Monday, October 27 at 7pm at New York City Center, 131 West 55 Street (bet. 7 & 6 Aves). Multi award-winning actress Angela Lansbury will host the Gala, which will be followed by an Anniversary Supper with the Stars at Hilton New York's Grand Ballroom. "ON BROADWAY! A Glittering Salute to the American Musical", is a glorious historical journey inside the Broadway musical seen through the eyes of legendary choreographers. Their choreography transformed Broadway shows into the greatest musicals of all time.

The Gala will be the entertainment-dance event of the new season with appearances by Mikhail Baryshnikov, Kelly Bishop, Jane Krakowski, Bebe Neuwirth, Noah Racey, John Selya, Karen Ziemba, and artists from American Ballet Theatre and from New York Theatre Ballet and other dancers, musicians, stars and many surprises to be accompanied by the Jubilee Orchestra. There will be musical/dance numbers as well as film clips / montages from some of the classics of Broadways. The honorees for the Gala are Sono Osato and Brian Heidtke. Tommy Tune is the recipient of the Rolex Dance Award. This One Night Only celebration is not-to-be-missed! It is produced & directed by Ann Marie DeAngelo and written by Deborah Grace Winer.  This One Night Only celebration is not-to-be-missed! 

Some of the musical (dance) numbers will include: Randy Skinner (Tony Award nominee) staging a show-stopping large chorus number from "42nd Street"; Josh Bergassee staging "Cool" ("West Side Story"); Mary MacLeod staging Bob Fosse's "Steam Heat" ("The Pajama Game"); New York Theater Ballet in the 'Dream Ballet' segment from "Oklahoma"; Karen Ziemba and Noah Racey in a duet from "Crazy for You";  Bebe Neuwirth, David Gibson and Pam Sousa in the  "Manson Trio" from Bob Fosse's Tony award winning hit "Pippin"; Mercedes Ellington staging "On Broadway"; "Two Lost Souls" ("Damn Yankees") starring Jane Krakowski & Cheyenne Jackson; Tommy Tune in a little number; and the Finale number "It's Not Where You Start" (from "Seesaw").  Artists and program subject to change without notice.

Angela Lansbury has enjoyed a career without precedent; spanning more than half-a-century, as a star of movies, a 4-time Tony Award-winning musical actress, and star of "Murder, She Wrote," the longest running detective drama series in television history. She has hosted (or co-hosted) more Tony Awards telecasts than any other individual. For 12 seasons she starred as Jessica Fletcher on "Murder, She Wrote;" afterwards starred in "Mrs. Santa Claus," the first original musical for television in four decades. She is in the Theatre Hall of Fame; received the Lifetime Achievement from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts; named a Commander of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II; member of the T.V. Hall of Fame; recipient of a Screen Actors Guild Lifetime Achievement award; nominated for 18 Emmy Awards. She has won 6 Golden Globe Awards and nominated for an additional 8; presented with the National Medal of the Arts and a recipient of a Kennedy Center Honor.

Career Transition For Dancers, with offices in New York City and Los Angeles, has helped thousands of professional dancers identify their unique talents in preparation for establishing new careers when dance is no longer an option. Since 1985, they have provided more than 38,000 hrs (equivalent to $4 million) of one-on-one career counseling & program services (at no cost) and has awarded millions of dollars in scholarships for education and grants.
