Variety reports that theatre veterans Nathan Lane, Kelsey Grammer and Stanley Tucci will appear in the new political film comedy Swing Vote, which will star Kevin Costner and be produced by the actor with Tiger Productions partner Jim Wilson.

Joining Costner, Tony Award-winner Lane (The Producers, Butley, The Odd Couple), Grammer (Macbeth, My Fair Lady at NY Philharmonic) and Tucci (Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, The Iceman Cometh) will be Dennis Hopper, George Lopez and newcomer Madeline Carroll.  Directed by Joshua Michael Stern, Swing Vote will feature a screenplay by Stern and Jason Richman.

In the film, Costner "plays an apathetic working-class single dad who's thrust on the world stage when the presidential election comes down to his vote."  Hopper plays the Democratic candidate and Grammer plays the Republican candidate, with Lane and Tucci as their campaign managers, respectively. The film will be executive produced by Robin Jonas, Radar Pictures and G&M Films.

Swing Vote begins filming in New Mexico on July 23rd.
