The self-professed Queen Of Mean herself, outrageous stand-up comedian Lisa Lampanelli, presents the first public workshop of her new one-woman play this weekend, titled SKINNY B*TCH: NOT A STAND-UP COMEDY SHOW.

Lampanelli took to her Facebook account earlier today to post, "See my 1woman show workshop this wkend, Wilmington, DE. Like my waistline, it's a work-in-progress - but worth it! Tix http://bit.ly/16supZv."

Then, later, she wrote, "Come see me workshop my 1-woman show in Schenectady, NY 9/13 - 9/15! Tickets on sale now!"

Directed by John Rando with a script co-written with Billy Crystal's 700 SUNDAYS collaborator Alan Zweibel, this premiere performance of SKINNY B*TCH is the first in a series of workshop presentations of the play scheduled throughout the Fall for the caustic headliner famous for her Comedy Central Roast and Howard Stern Show appearances in addition to her popular sell-out comedy shows across the country, which continue even amidst preparations and performances of this new theatrical endeavor.

The official description of SKINNY B*TCH is as follows: "Lisa Lampanelli makes a departure from her signature "insult" comedy in the developmental production of her new one-woman show Skinny B*tch: NOT A Stand-Up Comedy Show. The production, which is written by Ms. Lampanelli and 700 Sundays writer Alan Zweibel, will be helmed by Tony Award-winning director John Rando. In her first theatrical production, Lisa will reveal the woman behind the comic, and her struggle with food, men and body image. In turns hilariously funny, surprisingly touching and totally relatable, Skinny B*tch: NOT a Stand-Up Comedy Show will show a side to Comedy's Lovable Queen of Mean that few would guess exists."

For tickets to the first public workshop performance of the play this weekend in Delaware, check out the venue website here.

Additionally, more dates to catch Lampanelli in SKINNY B*TCH - at a slightly more convenient upstate New York venue, in September - have been added here.

So, are you excited to see one of comedy's most popular stars now take on a solo theatrical piece?
