The IN THE HEIGHTS Grammy Award was accepted today by Alex Lacamoire (Orchestrator and Music Director) and Bill Sherman (Orchestrator). Here is the talented team's GRAMMY win acceptance speech!

Alex Lacamoire: This is crazy. This has has already been an amazing year for IN THE HEIGHTS and just when you think it can't get any better - it does. Thank you so much. This is killer! We have to thank the producers of the record who couldn't be here and wished they could - Andres Levin, Kurt Deutsch, Joel Moss and Lin-Manuel Miranda who has to be back in New York to actually do IN THE HEIGHTS so thanks to those guys and to the producers of the show - Kevin, Jeffrey, Jill. Thanks to Voltron, Andy, Thommy, Kiara and Lin, Tim Lathan and David Herman. the amazing IN THE HEIGHTS band who played their butts off on this record, the IN THE HEIGHTS cast who sang their butts off on this record, Sh-k-boom records, Noah Corman, the voters, the fans and everyone. Now, my buddy Bill - what you got?

Bill Sherman: I just want to also thank my beautiful fiance Kristin who makes it worthwhile everyday, thanks to everyone else, we appreciate it.

IN THE HEIGHTS opened to critical acclaim, going on to win four 2008 Tony Awards (Best Musical, Best Score, Best Choreography, Best Orchestrations), and garnering a 2008 Grammy Award  for the original cast album. In November, 2008, Universal Pictures acquired the rights to produce a feature film based on IN THE HEIGHTS.

Tickets for IN THE HEIGHTS range from $41.50 to $121.50, and can be purchased at the Richard Rodgers Box Office or at www.ticketmaster.com. The playing schedule for IN THE HEIGHTS is as follows: Tuesday and Sunday at 7pm, Wednesday at 8pm, Thursday - Saturday at 8pm, with matinees Saturday and Sunday at 2pm.
