LaTanya Richardson Jackson, Rosie Perez Set for 2016 Restore Brooklyn Benefit Honoring Kenny Leon & More

On Monday, October 17, at 6:30 PM, the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation will host the Restore Brooklyn Annual Benefit gala, honoring Congressman Joseph P. Kennedy III, Tony Award-winning director Kenny Leon, Jay Walder and Jacqueline Berrien (posthumously).

The evening's presenters will include board member Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Tony Award-nominated actress and producer LaTanya Richardson Jackson and attorney Ted Wells. Honorary chairs for the evening include Daniel L. Doctoroff, Rosie Perez and Theodore M. Shaw.

Proceeds from the 2016 Restore Brooklyn Annual Benefit Gala will enable the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation to sustain critical programs and services, that foster economic self-sufficiency, enhance family stability and growth, promote the arts and culture and transform Brooklyn neighborhoods into safe, vibrant places to live, work and visit.

The 2016 Restore Brooklyn Annual Benefit Gala will be held on Monday October 17, 2016 at The Plaza Hotel 768 5th Avenue New York, NY 10019.

Javits in 1967 as the nation's first community development corporation. It partners with residents and businesses to improve the quality of life in central Brooklyn by fostering economic self-sufficiency, enhancing health and family stability, promoting the arts and culture, and transforming the neighborhood into a safe, vibrant place to live, work and visit.
