Love Quirks is a new musical of unconventional devotion exploring the trials and tribulations of love. Four friends and lovers, gay and straight, experience the frustrations and perils of dating and relationships in NYC. Love Quirks features a score of quirky, neurotic and poignant songs by prolific composer/ lyricist Seth Bisen-Hersh and a script by Mark Childers filled with laughter, pathos and sexual tension.
The show began as a song cycle of Bisen-Hersh's songs directed by Brian Childers in the spring of 2011 but then developed into a full fledged musical when the characters were fleshed out by Mark Childers' script. After a couple of staged readings, this will be the first fully staged performance of the piece.
The cast of Love Quirks features Teresa Hui as Lili, Robert McCaffrey as Chris, Brian Shaw as Ryan and Lauren Testerman as Steph.
The creative team for Love Quirks features direction by Brian Childers, musical direction by Eric K. Johnston and stage management by Kristin Sutter.
