The producers of Broadway's LOMBARDI today announced that they will offer a $40 ticket for the Veteran's Day performance, this Thursday November 11 at 8 PM at Circle in the Square (50th Street west of Broadway), to all current and former members with a military ID; each ID is good for a pair of tickets. They will also have the chance to pose with the actual Lombardi trophy which is being housed in the theatre's lower lobby this week, along with other rare memorabilia. Following the performance lead actor Dan Lauria, himself a former Marine and longtime supporter of men and women in the military, will acknowledge those members in attendance.

Tickets for this special Veteran's Day performance are available at the special $40 price by visiting BroadwayOffers.com<http://BroadwayOffers.com> and using code "VINCE40" or by calling Telecharge at (212) 239-6200 or by bringing a military ID to the Circle in the Square Theatre box office on West 50th Street between Broadway and 8th Avenue.

LOMBARDI, a new American play from Academy Award-winning playwright Eric Simonson, is based on the best-selling Vince Lombardi biography When Pride Still Mattered, by Pulitzer Prize winning author David Maraniss. It is directed by Tony Award nominee Thomas Kail.

Mr. Simonson is an Academy-Award winning documentary film maker and an ensemble member of the renowned Steppenwolf Theatre Company as a playwright and director. Mr. Maraniss is an associate editor at The Washington Post and the author of five critically acclaimed bestselling books about history, sports, and politics. Mr, Kail is the Tony Award nominated director for "In The Heights."

LOMBARDI is produced by Tony Ponturo and Fran Kirmser, in association with the National Football League.
LOMBARDI opened last month to raves:

"Eric Simonson has given us an extremely well-crafted piece of intelligent middlebrow theater, a regular-guy equivalent of Frost/Nixon. A good one for the guys. It is both tasty and filling. I know nothing about football and less about the Green Bay Packers, but LOMBARDI held my attention from start to finish, and when it was over, I went home feeling properly entertained." Terry Teachout, The Wall Street Journal

"There's a place for LOMBARDI in the Broadway huddle... It is theatrical catnip for husbands or boyfriends otherwise reluctant to see most Broadway shows: Football! Vince Lombardi! The legendary Packers!" The Associated Press

"Even if you never cared about Lombardi, you will enjoy LOMBARDI. And that really is everything." Mike Vaccaro, New York Post

"I loved LOMBARDI" Fox Five

"A rare Broadway drama that's also a real crowd-pleaser." AOL

"Sports fans will get a huge kick out of the it, but there's plenty for the uninitiated as well. As entertainment, LOMBARDI scores points." Roma Torre, NY1

"With its uniformly good cast, tight direction and frequent flashes of humor, Lombardi is solid playing in every sense of the word." David Cote, Time Out New York
