· Also during Super Bowl Week, LOMBARDI ticket holders can take their picture with a Super Bowl Trophy! The 1986 Vince Lombardi Super Bowl Trophy, awarded to the New York Giants upon their victory in Super Bowl XXI, will be on display in the lower lobby of the theatre from February 1 through Super Bowl Sunday on February 6, 2011.
Super Bowl Week at LOMBARDI will feature special appearances by former New York Giant greats, including:
· Thursday, February 3 from 7:30pm-8pm: Former New York Giants offensive lineman Brad Benson will be autographing LOMBARDI Playbills in the lower lobby at the Circle in the Square.
· Friday, February 4 from 7:30pm-8pm: Former New York Giants nose tackle Jim Burt will be autographing LOMBARDI Playbills in the lower lobby at the Circle in the Square.
Directed by Tony Award nominee Thomas Kail, LOMBARDI is an original play by Academy Award-winning playwright Eric Simonson, based on the best-selling biography When Pride Still Mattered: A Life of Vince Lombardi by Pulitzer Prize winner David Maraniss. The production opened in October 2010 at Circle in the Square Theatre.
Starring Dan Lauria as the legendary Hall of Fame football coach Vince Lombardi and Judith Light as his wife Marie, LOMBARDI also features Keith Nobbs as Michael McCormick, Bill Dawes as Paul Hornung, Robert Christopher Riley as Dave Robinson and Chris Sullivan as Jim Taylor. Joining producers Tony Ponturo and Fran Kirmser as special producing partner is the National Football League, marking the organization's first foray on Broadway.
