Live In The Village is a monthly variety show featuring a rotating cast of talented New York performers- each with unique backgrounds, perspectives and skills- taking on relatable topics and discussing them through music, stand-up comedy and other forms of art. It's the perfect happy hour for co-workers who don't want to talk to each other. Instead, they can sit back and enjoy high quality entertainment all on a Wednesday night at 7PM. Live in the Village is hosted by Mike Lemme and features different guest performers every month.
October's show will feature guest comedians Tim Dillon (Best Week Ever; Last Comic Standing; AXStv; Keith and the Girl Podcast) and Josh Gondelman (Writer for Last Week Tonight; Co-Creator of @ModernSeinfeld; author of You Blew It!). More special guests TBA!
Live In The Village plays at UNDER St. Marks (94 St. Marks Place between 1st Avenue and Avenue A) every second Wednesday of the month at 7pm. Tickets ($10) are available for advance purchase at www.horseTRADE.info or at the box office before the show. There is no drink minimum.
MIKE LEMME (Co-Creator/Host) recently debuted his first solo show Where I'm From at the 2015 FRIGID New York Festival to rave reviews. By mixing his cultural observations with biographical material, Lemme proves there are few things comedy can't make better. Mike started performing stand-up as a teenager. Since then he has been featured on PBS, written for Nickelodeon and Second City, warmed up audiences for Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, and was part of the production staff for Late Night With Jimmy Fallon and CONAN.
