Just days after the news that a musical film remake of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS is in the works, the show's original Off-Broadway and big screen star Ellen Greene will appear in the new horror comedy series 12 DEADLY DAYS, debuting on Monday, December 12, on Youtube Red.
The Hollywood Reporter writes that the series, from Blumhouse Television, "will tell 12 interconnected stories about the residents of Saturn, Calif., who find themselves terrorized by killer carolers and cursed fruitcakes in the days leading up to Christmas."
Also in the cast are Betty Gabriel, Kaitlin Doubleday, Dohn Norwood and Tom Lenk, with web stars Anna Akana, Burnie Burns, Brittany Furlan, Meghan Rienks and Alexis Zall.
Chris Cullari and Jennifer Raite are executive producing with Dakota Pictures.
One of Greene's most recent TV credits was, fittingly, in the series HANNIBAL. She has also appeared on the small screen in PUSHING DAISIES, HEROES, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS and BUNHEADS.
Aside from 'LITTLE SHOP', Greene has taken the stage in THREE MEN ON A HORSE, THE THREEPENNY OPERA, 'RACHAEL LILY ROSENBLOOM...' and THE LITTLE PRINCE AND THE AVIATOR on Broadway, as well as Off-Broadway's WEIRD ROMANCE, STARTING MONDAY, WAKE UP, IT'S TIME TO GO TO BED and IN THE BOOM BOOM ROOM, and BETWIXT! in the West End.
