A Survival Guide to Life in America
4 PLAYS 4 AMERICAN STORIES
Finding it hard to find your way in the America of today?
Don't despair... AMERICANIZE!
Living Image Arts 5th Anniversary Festival of One-Acts features the world premiere of 4 uniquely American new works about 4 distinctly American life experiences. From the love-struck brokers of Wall Street to immigration raids torn from today's headlines, from doughnut-hurling Grannies to Charlie's Angels-obsessed housewives, Americanize will show you just what it is to be a Real American.
AND
THE WORLD PREMIER OF
GOD, SEX & BLUE WATER
By LINDA FAIGAO-HALL
Directed by NELSON T. EUSEBIO III
A Test of Faith An Act of Love A Choice.
It is a world away from the Philippine Islands to Hoboken, New Jersey for a girl with a secret gift. As her Uncle Max sings Karaoke and her Mother prepares for the Pasyon, a Filipino Lenten ritual of self crucifixion, Clarita faces the greatest unknown - love.
Only maybe New Jersey is not the right place for any of this.
This innovative, shocking and startlingly comic play brings fresh insight into the ways we deal with family, faith and fundamentalism.
Brought to you by the producers who delivered COMING HOME, COMMITTED, HOW TO LOSE YOUR LOVER IN 6 SHORT PLAYS and this season's 18th Century Sexual Symphony, EMILIE's VOLTAIRE, Living Image Arts is proud to present this heartbreakingly hilarious, disturbingly dysfunctional, perfectly perverse view of the country we call home.
