Mo Brady and Nikka Graff Lanzarone announce the release of The Ensemblist's 41st episode: "Half Hour."

Nikka and Mo give listeners another special episode of The Ensemblist, featuring a number of recent guests discussing their preparations before they hit the stage. Each Broadway show's physical, vocal, and visual demands are unique, so too are the pre-show rituals. Episode 41 features seven Broadway ensemblists discussing those various rituals: Brandon Bieber, Andrew Kober, Tamika Lawrence, Jess LeProtto, Tracy McDowell, Mary Beth Peil, and Kristen Beth Williams.

Kober and Williams, who were featured on the "West End Ensemblists" episode, compare the differences between getting ready on the West End and Broadway, as well as the preparation time when acrobatics and fighting are involved. LeProtto shares the importance of a proper warm up for each dance and vocal style in On the Town. Guests Bieber and Lawrence explain how their half hour routines vary from show to show, especially when intricate make-up and costumes are involved, and McDowell gives listeners insight about working a wig call into her half hour. Peil shares the unique feeling each Broadway theatre provides when it comes to warming up, and why she prefers to arrive to the theatre long before the official half hour call.
