LEND ME A TENOR's Jan Maxwell will be a guest on WNBC's LX TV tomorrow Tuesday May 11 at 5 PM. LX is seen on WNBC TV, Channel 4 in New York.
Jan Maxwell has received a Tony Award nomination, Outer Critics Circle Award nomination, and Drama League nomination for her role as Maria, the jealous wife of world renowned tenor, Tito Merelli (
Anthony LaPaglia.). She also received a Tony nomination in the Leading Actress category for her performance earlier this season in The Royal Family; she is one of four actors in Tony Awards history to receive two nominations in one season.

Set in the 1930s, LEND ME A TENOR is a screwball comedy that takes place when Tito Merelli, the fiery-tempered and world famous Italian superstar, arrives in Cleveland, Ohio to make his debut with the local opera and promptly goes missing. As Saunders, the show's presenter, conspires to cover for Tito's absence, placate his hot-blooded wife, and distract his most passionate fans, chaos on a truly operatic level ensues.
