The Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3 production of Disgraced, the new play by Ayad Akhtar, directed by Kimberly Senior, closes today, December 23 at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street).

The production, which features Heidi Armbruster, Erik Jensen, Aasif Mandvi, Omar Maskati and Karen Pittman, was originally scheduled to run through November 18, was then extended through Sunday December 2 and for a third time through today, December 23. Disgraced is produced by arrangement with The Araca Group.

DISGRACED is the story of Amir Kapoor (Aasif Mandvi), a successful Pakistani-American lawyer who is rapidly moving up the corporate ladder while distancing himself from his cultural roots. When Amir and his wife Emily (Heidi Armbruster), a white artist influenced by Islamic paintings, host a dinner party, what starts out as a friendly conversation escalates into something far more damaging.

LCT3 will follow Disgraced with the New York premiere Luck of the Irish, a new play by Kristin Greenidge, directed by Rebecca Taichman (January 28 through March 10) and the world premiere of A Kid Like Jake, by Daniel Pearle, directed by Evan Cabnet (June 2 through July 14).
