LAVO New York - March 2012 (Part 1) - Presents Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Rony Seikaly, and Arty.

Thursday, March 1 - Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano
Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano are a Dutch twosome who match soulful vocals with deep and funky house and hints of South American percussion pervading tribal influences. Axwell refers to them as the Dutch version of SHM and their tour diary is stacked with headlining appearances at festivals throughout the world. MTV tapped them for house DJ duties for their 2012 NYE live broadcast from Times Square and they are the current ‘Residents of the Month’ on SiriusXM. Releases like their remake of Tiesto’s “Lethal Industry,” along with their chart topping hits “Tribeca” and “Markuzza” have appeared at dancefloors on every continent. The duo have also just released their Amazone Project Vol 3 Compilation on iTunes. 

Thursday, March 8 - Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike
Belgium based brothers Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike have had a rise to the top in only 2 short years. The duo honed their craft in 2009 when a string of successful remixes topped dance charts worldwide, commanding the attention and support of industry icons like Tiesto and Benny Benassi. The brothers' breakthrough came in 2011 when their single "Madagascar" saw massive international festival play, and "The Way We See The World" with Afrojack and the Nervo Twins topped the Beatport Electro House chart at #1. These rising stars, and DJ Mag Top 100 honorees, created another anthem with "Momentum," which hit the top 20 on Beatport after only two weeks of release. 

Saturday, March 10 - Rony Seikaly
As a figure in the nightlife scene, Rony Seikaly has leveraged his stardom as a medal-winning NBA center to his current title as an international club DJ. His career has seen releases on Subliminal, Nervous and Swings Records, plus performances at top-tier venues in cities like New York, Las Vegas, Miami, Marrakesh and the legendary Spanish island of Ibiza. His recently released "Go Deep Lounge Mix" is available as a free download on his SoundCloud page, his newest single "Crazy Powder" is available now on Beatport. Also keep an eye out for his Miami Compilation CD coming out on Nervous Records this month.

Friday, March 16 - Arty
A 22-year old prodigy, Arty's 2009 single "Bliss" received support from Armin van Buuren, and a year later commanded the attention of perennial top DJs Above & Beyond, who then signed Arty to their mega-label Anjunabeats. His 2011 big-room singles "Around The World" and "Kate" proved to be dance anthems, seeing regular play from the world's biggest DJs, and rightfully earned him a spot as a resident of mega-club Marquee Las Vegas. Combined with a string of remixes, including Ferry Corsten's "Punk" and Dirty South's "Walking Alone", Arty embraced his breakthrough year as he climbed 53 spots to #25 on DJ Mag's Top 100, and received an International Dance Music Award nomination for Best Break-Through DJ. His newest release "Mozart," with fellow label mate Mat Zo, is available now on Anjunabeats and upcoming single "Trio" with Matisse & Sadko is due out on Axtone on March 5th.
